With quite a few Asian countries having their own Gudetama cafes, we finally have one that arrived at our shores late last year ! The Tohs finally went to pay the lazy egg a visit last week.
We were there on a week day after work around 6 pm. There isn't any queue and the place wasn't packed. We just went in and asked for a nice egg shaped booth seat. :) My advice is not to go at peak hours like lunch or dinner times. The queue started to form around 6.45pm.
I love how spacious the café is .. not as cramp as some places. The bright colors is definitely inviting and cheery . Kids would love it.
The Place
Let's check out the super adorable
interior design.
Awww.. waffles ontop of the ceiling
and the special 4 egg shaped booth seats area are all decorated with Gudetama !
The special 4 seater we sat in
There are cute * but rather filthy * cushions around the seating area.
See how gingerly I held on to that one.. :P
Attractive and colourful menu !
Eye catching and cute presentation of food !
I am quite impress with the décor & menu design,
however, prices are definitely on the high side
Gudetama in his various forms
You can view the dessert display at the counter,
lots of cute designs. I have not tried them thou.
A mandatory shot with the cute mascot is of coz a must !
What we ordered
{"Rib" I don't care } is a steak with creamy
mushroom sauce and a side of mix veggie and topped with
mashed potato ( in gudetama form )
Decent in taste but food and drinks are generally expensive
Straw-Very “Lazy” beverage is a lychee based drink ..quite refreshing
This seafood in broth and rice is mine.
Love the slightly spicy broth.. Good amount of seafood
I wouldn't mind coming back again , but prob. be sharing a main and drink this time
so that I can go else where for more food !
