四川豆花 Si Chuan Dou Hua celebrates its 6th anniversary

If you were to ask me , which Chinese restaurant would I recommend for a satisfying meal , then it just has to be 四川豆花 Si Chuan Dou Hua at Parkroyal Kitchener Hotel.

四川豆花 Si Chuan Dou Hua has just turned 6!!
Well known for their Sichuan and Cantonese dishes , Executive Chef Leung has specially designed a delightful 6 course meal that has a wide spread of dim sum , soups to some classic Cantonese dishes as well as a good spread of desserts ! Eat to your hearts content! This affordable set is available daily for lunch and dinner .

It is priced at $78++ for 2 pax, with a minimum of 4 to dine. Did I mentioned that Mr Toh and I held our wedding 👰🏼🤵🏼dinner at PARKROYAL ? Dinner last night has certainly brought back fond memories !

Now let's get on to what make up the 6 course !
First up is the { Art of Dim Sum } . And this course amazed us ! It's already a meal in its
Just look at the spread I have on my plate ! Abalone Siu Mai, Fragrant Yam Cake with Waxed Meat, Prawn Dumpling and that delicious Marinated Rice Noodles Roll with Shredded Duck. Don't mind if I just rub my happy belly !

There are gems to be found in the 2nd course
{ Combination of Four Delicacies } . One of the 4 delicacies is the Suckling pig !

Crispy and not cloying is this beauty here . Second to that would be the Chilled chicken in spicy bean paste.

Tender pieces of chicken soaked in mala bean paste sure got me hooked on this .

Soup is up next for the 3rd course . Simply full of collagen goodness in this nourishing soup.
{ Doubleboiled cartilage soup with fish maw }
Finished the entire bowl and wish there's seconds :p

How about some steamed fish next !
{ Hong Kong” Steamed Sliced Turbo Fish in Soy Sauce } . Very sweet and fresh were these slices . And agree that steam fish really brings out the freshness and sweetness of this fish !

{ Si Chuan Dou Hua‘s Signature Bean Curd Medley } show cases the homemade bean cuts cooked with minced meat and sauce . This would have gone so well with a bowl of rice :)

{ Fish Paste “Mee Sua” Soup in “Shun De” Style} is a comforting serving of special mee sua unlike the one we are use to having . This is more like bee hoon. The broth is slightly thick due to the use of fish paste and simmered for hours before it is served .

We simply have to finish off the meal with some desserts , shouldn't we ? And what's best about the dessert serving for this set is you can eat as much as you like ! It is dessert buffet style !

Here are some of my fav from the dessert spread . The Mala kou is certainly soft and has a layer of white sugar gao at the bottom.

Yes we were all bursting at the seams after all the food but yet we just had to make space for these sweet treats !

Do make space for the signature Dou hua . It is something you don't want to miss. Soft and silky , these are also made in house .
