I tasted childhood again yesterday..
I bought two pieces and had it for tea yesterday :)

My brother and I used to eat this for
breakfast when we were much younger.
I would beam with joy whenever I saw
the brown paper packet sitting on the
kitchen table. I knew it has to be my fav.

As soon as my mum got more health conscience,
putu mayam was never a choice for our breakfast.
Another factor of coz was that this snack
is harder to come by of late..
It is such a simple snack.. flour, sugar & coconut
yet it fills my heart with so much joy as I munch on it ~

a friend just told me we can get putu mayam
at the Casuarina prata shop....

Its been a while since I had one. Like you, I ate it a lot as a kid, but since some years ago, its quite hard to find in hawker centers.
I wonder if its not popular to eat anymore.

Where did you buy these putu mayam? I love putu mayam but it's so hard to find them these days.
aiyo..i also craving for putu mayam for the longest time! Nowadays..its very hard to locate them, i can only find them once in a while in pasar malam :-(((
Yeah..it is really hard to find putu mayam these days! has everyone upgraded their taste buds and forgotten this simple treat?
I got these at Lor 8/7 Toa Payoh Industrial park blk 9 ..it's a big canteen and there's a malay food stall ( 1 and only there ) that sells them :) It's not difficult to locate this canteen, they are just next to the big toyogo outlet .
