Take a look....
so these clowns think that they can pronounce English better than us Singaporeans? Which other countries will they be 'commenting' upon next? India? Hongkong? Argh~! This news was headlines in the New paper today...
One of the so called 'celebs' said that the way Singaporeans say "thanks" sounded like 'dance' and another also made fun of the way we pronunced "auntie'' and 'uncle' . One female clown even said that our accent sounded like that of a thai :x *roll eyes* not that there is anything wrong with thai accent..but every country is different!!
The Taiwanese refers to English as '' 美语’‘..which means American language. I mean it seems that they regard the American accent to be the 'correct' way to speak english and all other accents are considered 'wrong' and strange to them. Oh pls..... *shakes head* what else can i say...
oh wait.. how can I forget...they can't even speak Mandarin properly.. so are we suppose to be laughing at the way they pronounce certain words as well ? Taiwanese mostly don't roll their tongues for certain words which were meant to be pronounce that way. Just watch some taiwan drama and u will know what i mean.
okay..i actually caught this episode on channel 52 last week. Basically theses clowns can't speak a proper sentence in English that's why they were invited to this particular episode. To think that English is part of their education curriculum. Are those teachers qualified to teach the language in the first place ?

ha ha ha..couldn't help laughing, it's like a brand new age case of the blind leading the blind...hmmm No...actually the tone deaf leading the tone deaf! muhahahahha!
yeah those taiwan variety programme are making a fool of themselves. They themself, in the first place can't pronounced or command good/proper english. Yet they're trying very hard to accuse some singaporean with bad english. They should come to singapore trying to take The cambridge examination for english and see how well"Their so called english teacher" can score? I bet they might score it badly. Look how they pronounced Their english conversation, I can't hardly understand what the rubbish they're trying to explain.
And worse their chinese, Mixing with whole lots of "I Cant understand characters" into it. They're pot calling kettle black. A really good example. haha
And btw, those host english is alot far worse then singaporean, whose speaks bad english. HAHA
Happy New Year...
hey, I saw this in another forum, there's a link to that guy's blog and also that "teacher's blog". hehehe...

I quite like Taiwanese variety shows, almost as much as I like their parliament brawls.
