Oblivious to the commotion @ Cineleisure

I was happily tapping to the tunes of Hairspray at about 745pm, while the police were on a massive manhunt for a 20 yr old NSF armed with a SAR-21 rifle and some ammunition that had been issued to him for guard duty on Sunday evening. The search ended at 8pm when police arrested the boy at Cineleisure. We were enjoying the movie and were oblivious to the action outside the cinema :p

It's pretty scary actually.. since he was armed. What if he actually decided to charge into the cinema and fire a few rounds? What was he thinking of when he took off with the gun and ammo? He is just a mere few weeks short of his ORD! Pure stupidity to ruin his future in a moment of folly.

Coming back to Hairspray...wow..I really enjoyed this musical remake. I have not watched any of the past versions so I have no idea how the stage musical nor the first movie version is like .

Nikki Blonsky , being a newcomer, really brings life to the production ..and wow..she can really dance! :) How can I have not notice Zac Efron! He looks sleek in those 60s getup. Can't wait to watch High School Musical 2 (bro bought the vcd already! )

Was it just me or what, but doesn't Michelle Pfeiffer's face looked sunken.. it's like she is way too thin these days, kinda haggard looking. But the one character that made me sit up was Edna (John Travolta) . Gee.. the make up! I really cannot tahan the make up. John Travolta just doesn't look good playing a female. But I must say the acting's good.. at least he made me laugh. Still I wish he stick to male roles instead.

Before watching the movie, I thought it was just another cheesy boring show. But yeah, it was fun ...though some of the tunes were pretty cheesy ..hahaa..and to think I was tapping to it.
