Tong Le Private Dining -- Celebrating Mr Toh's Birthday

Most of the times it was me who decides where to go for Mr Toh's birthday. This year was however different ! He picked out a venue and told me that's where he wants to enjoy his birthday feast this year :)

We had an enjoyable lunch over at Tong Le Private Dining located at OUE Tower. It is a revolving tower, hence we had quite a view of the bay as well as parts of the CBD area during our 2 hours lunch there !
* Do note that they do not accept walk ins. Dining here is by reservations only. Service is awesome here
and it starts the minute from our email reservations !

Here's the menu we have choose :)

Check out the view :)

Nice serving plate and chubby me :P

Quite a special drink !
Refreshing lemon and basil juice plus two
spicy longan to go with it !
The slight hint of spiciness goes well with the drink

First dish
Chilled abalone with tomato topped with Kaluga Queen
Cavier accompanied by Pan fried Lobster with egg white
It came shouldered in a cloud !

light and easy on the palate

 Next up is the
{Braised Cave Bird's Nest with Crab Roe}
Love this shot taken by the birthday boy ! Presentation top marks for
serving in a bowl meant for a king !

{ Steamed Japanese Wild Scallops with Roasted Garlic } .
Served in a shell with pretty sea blue bits under the shellπŸŒŠπŸ’¦πŸŒŠπŸ’¦πŸ’™.
To be eaten with the egg yolk beneath the scallop

Totally umami and such delightful burst of flavour

{ Wagyu Char Siew }
with veggie n mushrooms

we both found that it is quite a waste of
using the wagyu this way. The meat was nicely
caramelized however, too tough for our likening

This is a very comforting dish
Poached Geoduck Clam in Braised Rice
with Seafood Consomme
It is like an elevated porridge with all the seafood goodness in it.

  {Special 8 treasure cheesecake}
Yes it is fusion cheesecake πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰
actually has wolf berries in it ✌🏼️ i was so full by dessert
so could only managed half of it but ate all of that mocha ice cream !

Here's the birthday boy
with the cake specially prepared
for him

Happy Birthday
Mr Toh!!

May all your future birthdays be

as happy and fantastic as this
