STREET 50 Restaurant & Bar - Golden Jubilee Menu

Are you as excited as me with the upcoming SG50 National Day celebrations? I am looking forward to the extra holiday as well as the  National Day long weekend! So many things to see and I sure hope to feast away the holidays too ! Eating and enjoying good food is afterall our nation's greatest past time! It is sure a good way to mark our nation's birthday , watching the parade and eat to our hearts' content !
Bay Hotel Singapore’s STREET 50 restaurant & bar has recently launched a special menu just in ti

Located just a stone's throw away from Vivocity, one of the biggest shopping center in Singapore , Street 50  STREET 50 has launched a special Golden Jubilee all-day a la carte menu that shows case a whooping 50 special dishes just for this extraordinary celebration season ! 

I was joined by fellow foodies in sampling of some of these wonderful creations. Guess what ! Most of them are priced below $20~ ! Talk about value for money ! oh and guess what! They are open daily til 4 am ! You don't have to fret about where to eat after shopping at Vivocity !

We had the pleasure of tasting some of the dishes, not all 50 of them of course ! :D Here are a few to tempt you ! 


Starters 
 Can you believe this full of seafood goodness soup is just going for $8.90? 
Fisherman’s Soup -- featuring mixed seafood flavored with garlic, 
bay leaf and white wine vinegar, and served with a rustic chunk of country bread

This refreshing salad is good for sharing ~ 
Snow Crab Salad ($9.90) is seasoned with herbs and served with pickles. 
It has nice chunks of snow crab as well as fish roes !


 Main Course 


 Bay’s Spring Chicken ($14.90)
Half of a spring chicken, good portion served with sides of 
 sweet potato fries and coleslaw and salad.

 These lamp chop are not your usual ones ..
Seasoned with tantalising satay spice, and topped with the 
perennial favorite peanut sauce, these are called 
Satay un-skewered ($19.90) . So apt for SG50 :)

 Satay Bay Hoon ($14.90) name game on Satay Bee Hoon of course :)
Enjoy this rice vermicelli dish with cuttlefish, octopus, manila clams,kang kong, 
chicken sate lilit, tau pok, quail eggs, all ready to be soaked with a delectable satay sauce

 Fork tender veal cheek rendang ($19.90) was achievable after 8 long hours of cooking !
Enjoy it with a full-flavored Rendang sauce, this dish is one of my fav of the evening :)

 You may have eaten po piah, but have you tried Garoupa Popiah ($18.90)?
Wrapped in po piah skin is a garoupa fillet.. 
somewhat unqiue , but not quite up my alley :)


Surely we have to end the night with something sweet as usual ~ 

Dessert 

Cha Cha Crème Brulee ($9.90) is a nice twist to our local well love dessert .
I love the vibrant colors of the yam , sweet potato n pumpkin..
Decadent touch of the Okinawa black sugar is good and those with a sweet tooth
will love this ! Guess what the white foam is!
