The waiting game at local govt. hospital--when will things improve??

Greetings...it's the weekends! It is also the last weekend to the Lunar New Year :) Have you done your new year shopping yet? Be warn, it is gonna be a mad rush in town as usual. Expect the crowd , the heat and the over played "dong dong chang" songs in the departmental stores as well as in the neigbourhood shops :)

Anyhow, I spend my Friday afternoon in a series of queues . Queued and waited for different things through out the day.

Well, had to accompany grandma to Tan Tock Seng for her routine checkup.

She has to get her blood test done before doctor's consultation. So had to be there 1.5 hours prior to the appointed time. That's how long it will take before the test results comes back form the lab. So waited...and waited. Mum was with gran in TTSH while I strolled over the Novena Square hehehe.

Got back to TTSH after 45 mins thinking that it would be time for gramps appointment with the doc. Argh..I was so wrong. This department 's efficiency is as slow as the walking pace of it's patients!! S.L.O.W

We waited for another 45 mins before grandma could see the doc~~that in spite of appointment being made :/

Proceeded to the pharmacy to collect the medication. Yes, you've guessed it. Another round of the waiting game and queues.... zzzzzzzzzz

It was almost 5pm after I made payment for the medication..this time round we played the waiting game at the taxi stand. We were greeted by a long queue and no taxis in sight. Sigh. I should have guessed. The cabbies were all waiting for the magical hour where they can earn an extra 35% on top of the metered fare.

Yeah, we finally made it home after a long long afternoon at Novena...(taxi fare came up to $8.10..considering how near my place is to TTSH )

It was a whole lot easier and faster when gran visited Mt E for her checkups in the past. Well, that came with a hefty bill as well. It cost much much less at TTSH. Honestly, these hospitals have alot of room for improvement. What to do..we can only hope for the better.

I know this is a pretty jumbled post.. that's how my mind works sometimes..all jumbled up. Need to sleep now...

ohoh..yah... :P I saw the latest Lamborghini yesterday while I was on the roads in mr A's car.

It has a very cool looking exterior ...very flat....greyish sliver .... driven by a lady :P And it cost as much as a terrace house *$2.2million*

Okay..it's really good night now. Another long day tmorw~! I will be watching Chesty Nutty Bang bang at the Drama center!! Can't wait!!! heeehee... tell you more in the next post..
