Mrs Toh's first visit to Kuishin Bo

 

Entering Suntec City these days after is a totally new experience lately as it unveils the different sections one by one.

One of Suntec's long standing tenant is back with a blast ! Kuishin Bo has once again returned to where it first started 15 years ago.

You may not believe it, but this was my very first visit to Kuishin Bo  :P  Was I glad I made it to this tasting event :)


Upon entering, I was immediately drawn to the whole retro setting ! It was as if we were transported back in time to the Showa period ( 1926-1989) in Japan

The selection at Kushin Bo is quite subsential, ranging from seafood to meat dishes, to a wide range of desserts as well as good selection of tea !

Not only are there the usual selection, there is also the  quarterly thematic food fairs showcasing gastronomic highlights from different regions in Japan. . From now till 27 September, get ready to be tantalized by food items from Kyushu and Okinawa.

If you think that some of these dishes look very 'chinese' 

then yup, Okinawa cusines does have some 

chinese influence in them  :)

 

 Just look at the pork belly dish ! It is stewed in soy sauce and brown sugar 

 The fair also offers sweet treat like the brown sugar doughnuts..

however, it was not to our liking..it was sadly too dry .. 

 One of the highlights of Suntec Kushin Bo has to be the Kids Haven corner! Decked out in 

cartoon characters in a feature wall, this area has lots of kids friendly dishes such as 

pastas , bake rice , snacks like popcorn and DIY ice kachang ! 

Kids will go gaga here !

One reason why Kushin Bo has been in the market for so long ! 

It has to be the free flow of Zuwaigani !! * snow crab*

 

Dont' forget to race to the front of the line when you hear the 

definitive jingle of Kushin Bo !

It alerts you of the hourly special food items 

that comes in limited quantity! 

 We managed to rush to be in line and got these ! 

 This is one of my favorite !
