Revamped Bar Menu at The Royal Mail Bar

Many a times as I passed by The Ascott, I am just captivated by the beauty of the building. It used to be an office building but has since became a service apartment. 

I was thrilled to be able to visit this building last Friday! The first and second level of the building houses The Royal Mail Bar and The Royal Mail Restaurant respectively

 Get a few friends and have a drink during Happy hour! 

 

After two years, The Royal Mail Bar, the extended beverage arm of The Royal Mail Restaurant, introduces new specialty cocktails and British-inspired tapas to its menus.

In addition to the new cocktails, the bar also brought in 10 new whiskeys which cater to sweet and peaty palette. There are Arran Sherry Cask, Aberlour 15 Years, Nikka Coffey Grain and Kavalan Single Malt to name a few

I was joined by some bloggers and foodie instagrammers last Friday evening for a night of fun and drinks at The Royal Mail Bar . We were thrilled to try out their new drinks and bar grub menu! 

Using everyday ingredients, the bar's resident bartender has whipped up 15 new concoctions. The recipes are borne out of his search for intriguing and flavourful drinks

Let me show you some of the pretty cocktails we tried! * all cocktails cost $18 , but during Happy Hours 5pm -8pm , they are only going for $10! and 1 for 1 house pour (Gentlemen's Pour 45ml ) go for $15 :) It's not too taxing on the pocket!

 

Started the night with a Tina Funfetti 

Blended mix of Baileys, Chocolate Syrup,

 Milk and Butterscotch with a drizzle of Grenadine and Sprinkles

This is The Royal Mail Bar's signature drink! 

Old Fashioned Spice cocktail is given a slightly sweetened aftertaste 

with a deft infusion of honey and clove 

 

Apple of My Eye

Muddled Green Apple Slices shaken with Vodka, Frangelico, 

Sour Apple and Egg White for a frothy finish

Muddled Lime Juice, Sugar and Mint leaves, with Rum and Lychee Juice

 with a burning stream of Bacardi 151

I was downing this like nothing! 

Totally my personal favorite !

Mango Puree blended with Rum and Sugar 

Enjoy some live music as you enjoy the drinks and food!

Don't fret if these food are not enough for you, there's more 
 Cubed beef- Prime Roast served with
Spicy crab tomato and Bearnaise sauce

It is an irresitable offerring, each morsel is tantalizing

 especially when paired with the sauces! 

 We weren't expecting a dessert! 
But yes, we were served with a sweet and well 
torched Vanilla Creme Brulee!
