Saturday lunch date at Dean & Deluca

I am not sure how many of you have watched "Felicity " before. It's a US drama that was aired in the 90s. I love this drama and would watch it without fail. The lead actress in the drama worked as a part time barasita in this cool cafe ( it was way way before all these indie cafes popped out..so yeah, it looked pretty cool back then ) called Dean and Deluca. Many years later, Dean and Deluca finally reached our shores. Nope, I didn't jumped nor was I the first in line to eat at this cafe.

In fact, it took me more than 8 mths to try out Dean and Deluca. I was there with my friend June about 3 weeks ago.

Both of us had ice teas.

Here's my layers and layers of ham and cheese sandwich

The sweet compote goes well with the ham! 

But did I mention that this cost me $20 ?

( I could only finished half of it, so I had the other one

doggy bagged for my other half :P )

Now check this out...

June had this sweet sweet Sauteed brioche french toast 

3 slabs of toast drenched in caramel sauce topped with 

vanilla ice cream and banana and berries

 

It was nice but kinda sweet..

Prob.not something I would opt for :) 

*unless it's shared among some friends*
