The Ones at Auntie Kim's & Salted Caramel

The weather has been rather predictable of late..it rains in the afternoon.. cold weather makes me crave for pipping hot soup!

Alex & I stopped by Upper Thomson to have our lunch before heading over to Woodlands for baby Hannah's baptism * see previous post *

We were spoil for choices along the rows of shop houses cafes and restaurants. In the end I chose Auntie Kim's korean food coz I have eaten there and love the food and free flow of side dishes~

Ordered two bowls of rice..

is pan fried beancurd with a touch of spicy sauce
and the right is mashed potato.

The type of side dishes changes randomly..
so what you get everytime u visit is different..of coz
certain side dish remains..eg kimchi and the veggies.

Alex wanted to order more food..thankfully I stopped him!
It would be nice if there were more people..
for two person what we ordered was just nice!

Just right across the road is an ice cream parlour I have been wanting to try . Have u heard of Salted Caramel? :)

We finished off lunch with 3 scoops of ice cream~~

I chose their namesake.. it was quite nice ...
abit giam giam ( salty in hokkien ) and sweet!
first note was giam and sweetness follows..

He had the holicks tim tams and a scoop of durian..
He has a penchant for anything durian~
Holicks tim tams was well..holicky..and has
hidden bits of tim tams :)
